

EARL, BOYD L., 88, of Corryton – was born July 1, 1926 and passed away peacefully August 19, 2014 at home surrounded by family. He was a member of Son Light Baptist Church. He was owner and proprietor of Boyd’s Farm Store in Mascot and Blaine, TN. He enjoyed gardening, farming and trading cattle. He was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. Preceded in death by parents, John and Ruthie Earl; stepmother, Annie Earl Welch of Speedwell, TN; brothers, George and Sam Earl; and sister, Mattie Poore. Wife of 43 years, Sallie B Lawson Earl, and wife of 1 year, Elizabeth Weaver McCall. Survived by children, Ed (Donna) Earl of Etowah, TN, Janice (Stuart) Donahue of Corryton, TN, and Robyn (Jim) Cosby of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Jason Wolfenbarger, Jeremy Earl, Stefani Pemberton, Lauren and Ciara Cosby; great grandchildren, Riley Wolfenbarger and Taylor Pemberton; sisters, Ruth McCreary, Edna Garnett, Billie Hill and Deloris Welch; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Bobbie Weaver. The family would also like to express special thanks to Dr. J. Davis Allan and his nurse, Pam and Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow. Rev. Edward Earl officiating.
