

Brenda Sue Collins, age 67 of Mascot, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was a life-long member of Green Acres Baptist Church, where she served as youth and choir leader for several years. She was a graduate of Carter High School, class of ’67 and Tennessee School of Beauty. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and mamaw. Her love and faith in God carried her through life, especially the last few years. She was loved by all who knew her. Preceded in death by parents, J B & Bertha Cochran, brothers, Ed and “Jabo” (William) Cochran; sisters, Hilda Acuff, Barbara Gentry, Laura Ruth Allen, and granddaughter, Christian Collins. She leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, William (Bill) Collins, daughter, Chastity Collins, grandchildren, Naquita Flack, Leyondra and Isaiah Collins; great-grandchildren, De-Shyran & Jessiyah Ryals; brother, Donald (Faye) Cochran; sister, Eloise Edmonds; several brother and sister-in-laws; also special grandkids she adopted as her own, Dallas Rochelle and Spring Tackett; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rose and Jimmy Stipes and children. Family will receive friends at Green Acres Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 5:00 -8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Green Acres Baptist Church on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10:00 am with Rev. Rickey Hayes and Rev. Leonard Goin officiating followed by procession to Eastview Memorial Gardens for a graveside service, pallbearers include Clyde Wyrick, Greg Cochran, Zach Acuff, Dustin Davis, Michael and Daniel Collins, Timmy and Tony Evans, and Jesse Gentry.
