Brian C. McCoig

Brian C. McCoig, age 50, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 19, 2017. He came to live with Open Arms Care in 1997, where he was loved by everyone who knew him. Brian loved watching movies and listening to music while wearing his headphones. He developed a great talent for the arts and painting where he sold several of his paintings. Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents; Beatrice and Varna McCoig and Robert and Lillian Bridges; brother, Robbie McCoig. He is survived by his loving parents; Jerry and Christine V. McCoig; sister, Renea (Dennis) McCoig Hunter; brother, Scott McCoig and Becky Gibson; nephews, Aaron McCoig, Michael (Cara) McCoig; nieces, Sarah Hunter, Rebecca Hunter. A special thank you for the kindness and care provided by the staff and caregivers at Open Arms Care over the past 20 years. Family will receive friends 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Eric Yingling officiating.
