Bruce Lyle Sexton

He was a loving husband, father, and papaw. Bruce made friends wherever he went and always left them with a smile on their face. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, and served in the US Marine Corp.

Preceding him in death are his parents: Oran and Lucy Sexton; brothers: Junior, Robert, Jim , Jay, and Jeff; and sisters: Jerry, Dalores "Tootsie" and Patsy.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances "Dennie" Sexton; children: Johnny Sexton, Bruce (Kelly) Sexton, Carrie Sexton James, and April (Robert) Ingram. Grandchildren: Corey, Chasitie, Brooke, Chase, Brianna, Jordan, Andrew, Madison, Macy, Marcus, Breanna, Audrey, McKenna and Morgan and 8 great grandchildren. Brother: Ben Sexton and sisters: Linda, Diane, Dorothy, and Debbie. Along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with his family will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bill LeRoy officiating.

Family and friends will gather at 10:45 AM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Baldwin-Cate Cemetery for a 11:00 AM, military graveside service.
