Griffin, Carol C. -69 of Knoxville passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011. Carol was a long time employee in the airline industry. Currently employed by East Tennessee Surgical Group and Physicians Surgery Center. She was an avid reader, cook and baker. Carol was a creative person who enjoyed Gourd painting and crafting with her daughters. Preceded in death by parents; Thomas P. and Helen (Thompson) Carty. Carol is survived by daughters and sons-in-law; Sheila and David Heal and Brenda and David Woods; son, Thomas Griffin and Lori Gorley; 3 grandchildren, Brandon Heal, Emily Griffin and Daniel Griffin; brother, Thomas P. Carty; several cousin and numerous friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
