A member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, Carolyn’s life was defined by her faith, her family, and her deep love of teaching. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis) and devoted more than two decades to shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher. She also homeschooled two of her four children, sharing her love of learning both in the classroom and at home.
In addition to her work in education, Carolyn was a dedicated Sunday School teacher and faithfully served in the children’s ministry at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church for many years. Her gentle spirit, patient heart, and unwavering devotion to nurturing young minds and hearts left a lasting impact on countless children and families.
Outside the classroom, Carolyn expressed her creativity as a professional framer, operating her own custom framing business from her home for over 30 years. Whether she was teaching a child, leading a Sunday School class, or framing a cherished piece of art, she poured her heart into everything she did.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar D. and Dorothea B. Eaves; and brother, James “Jimmy” Eaves.
