Carolyn Bernice Shanks

Bernice Shanks, 89, of Knoxville, transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. She was a long time member of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral. Bernice was preceded in death by parents, Bascom and Callie Daniels of Bean Station, TN; husband, Guy W. Shanks; brother, Albert Daniels. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kitty and Gary Pruett, Tracy DeJarnatt and Robert Cipollini; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Cathy Shanks; 5 grandchildren, Whitney Pruett, Alexander (Lori) Shanks, Austin (Alyssa) Shanks, Tyler (Lisa) DeJarnatt and Toby DeJarnatt; great-grandson, Beau Shanks; nieces, Jamie, Teresa, Alberta (Cissy), Beverly Wise, Sonia Shanks Eckhart and special friend, Cheyne Peterson. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, service at 2:00pm with Father John Ross officiating.
