Charles Charlie William Wade

Wade, Charles William, age 90, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Mercy Hospital, St. Mary’s. Charles attended Trinity Chapel. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during World War II. He received a Purple Heart. Charles was an estimator for North Brothers and Johns Manville. He was owner of Thermal Insulation. After retirement, Charles worked with special needs children and housing for teens in crisis pregnancy. Charles was preceded in death by two sons, Chris and John Wade, both of whom served in the United States Marine Corps. Parents, John and Addie Wade and thirteen siblings. Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty years, Jane Wade; son Marshall Wade; daughter, Linda Tipton and husband Robert; son Michael Fitzmaurice; eleven grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Thursday to go in procession to Woodhaven Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service with Ministerial staff of Trinity Chapel officiating. Full military honors will be presented at the graveside. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
