Clara Elizabeth Gardner

GARDNER, CLARA ELIZABETH MEREDITH - 88 of Knoxville, passed away November 14, 2014 in Batesville, AR. She attended Powell school and Karns High School and was retired from the Knox County School system. She was a longtime member of Tekoa Baptist Church, loved shopping and Lady Vols basketball. Preceded in death by husband, Malcolm Gardner; parents, Roy and Irene Meredith; brothers, Joe and Gene Meredith; sister, Mildred Meredith. Survived by son, Ed Gardner (Phyllis); step grandson, Jason Davis; granddaughters, Kelly Olson (Chris), Amy Gardner (Paul); great grandsons, Ben and Matt Schaffer; brother, Frank Meredith; special friends, Kay Meadows Gardner, Irene Clifton. Family will receive friends Friday, November 21, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Lynch Bethel Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers: Steve Gardner, Chris Olson, Brent Sammons and Mark Wilson.
