Mr. Clifford N. Barger

Clifford N. Barger, age 78, of Knoxville, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 14th, 2015. Cliff was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, Chota Lodge, and a Shriner with Kerbela Temple. He is preceded in death by parents, Mary and Richard (Dick) Barger, and siblings, James, Fred, Oscar and Frank, Mabel, Martha, and Thelma. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Long Barger, children, Robin Anderson and husband Tyler, and Brian Barger, precious grandchildren, Ethan and Erin Barger, and their mother, Danielle Barger, siblings, Raymond, Christine and Grace, brother-in-law, Jim Long and wife Jane, 17 nieces and nephews, special friends, Gary Scarbrough and Horace Hamilton, who faithfully visited with him every week during his long illness, and a host of dear friends. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Amy, Robbie and Patti with Amedysis Hospice for their kindness and care. Committal services will be held on Friday, February 20th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Berry Highland West Funeral Home, with Gary Stooksbury officiating.
