He was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved fishing. He worked as a Lumber Jack for more than 40 years. Clyde loved working and spending time at the "wood pile", where he made many life-long friends and loyal customers. He was a very loving Husband, Dad and Papaw. You could count on Clyde to be at the dirt track races cheering on his grandson, Chris. He never went anywhere without his side-kick, Sally.
He was preceded in death by parents, Riley and Eva Russell and brother-in-law, Paul McCulley.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris; sons, Clyde "Tracy" Russell, Stephen Russell; daughter, Kelly Rhines; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; sister, Edith McCulley; brothers-in law, Major Sharp, Jerry Sharp, Tony Sharp, Paul Sharp and his loving dog, Sally.
Family and friends will meet Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Maryville Pike, Knoxville for a 2:00PM Graveside Service.
