Curtis Lee Smith, age 64, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away suddenly on Monday, December 12, 2022. Curtis was a veteran of the US Navy and served from 1976-1982 aboard the USS Stein as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class. He was currently employed by Engert Plumbing as a Master Plumber. Curtis enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a caring man ready with a smile and a joke no matter the circumstances. He was always ready to help someone in need but he could always be found on Thursday nights with his pool league. He would always quote, "Never Stop Living Your Life."
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Calhoun Smith and father, William Carl Smith of Johnson City, Tennessee.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Smith; daughters, Kerrie and husband Corey Heck and Cassie Smith; son, Connor Smith; grandchildren, Zoe, Caden, and Adreona Acuff and William Heck; brother, Paul and wife Rita Smith of Knoxville, Fred and wife Michelle Smith of Johnson City; sister, Angel Collins of Johnson City and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, 5-7 pm, December 19, 2022 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm.
