Mr. David Gredig

David Hollis Gredig “Dadaw”, age 71 passed on Monday the 14th, born June 19, 1951 he was a loving husband, son, and godfather went to be with the lord suddenly on the morning of March 14, 2022. He worked for Pilot Oil for 17 years and retired from Hackney Petroleum. He was an avid fisherman, farmer, gardener and was a true friend to everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by father, James William Gredig; mother, Zelma Tinker Gredig and brother, Michael William Gredig. Survived by his soulmate and wife of 53 years, Gail Gredig; brother, James Henry Gredig; goddaughters, Melanie Brown, Gina Cleveland, Jennifer Bailey, Chastity Parrott, Crystal Chambers, Shannon Terry and Tanya Dickenson, David was adored by all his godchildren, they all called him the candy man and Dadaw sure did love his young’uns! Family will receive friends at Weaver’s Chapel , Friday from 5:00-7:00 pm with the service to follow. Family and friends will meet Saturday at Stoney Point Cemetery at 12:45 pm for a 1:00 pm interment. Rev. Danny Smith officiating.
