David Michael Woods

David Michael Woods, age 62, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2015 after losing his battle with cancer. After graduating from South High School in 1970 he served in the U.S. Navy. Dave worked for many years at Bullett Boats and ended his working career at Handy Dandy Market and Deli on South Haven Road. Dave’s big smile and funny sense of humor brought smiles, joy, and laughter to all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by father, H. Carl “Woody” Woods. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Brenda Griffin Woods; son and daughter-in-law, Michael “Cory” and Karin Woods; four grandchildren; mother, Dorothy “Dottie” Woods; brother, Roy (Joyce) Woods; sisters, Carol (Oliver) Smith, Patty (Kim) Kilbourne; sister-in-law, Sheila (David) Heal; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; dearest friends, Wayne, Sherry Jo, Jamie, David, Mikki, Heather, Morgan, Sammy, Doris, Chris, and numerous other friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 5:30-7:30pm, with a memorial service to follow at 7:30pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
