Debbie F. Smith

Preceded in death by her mother, Helen and father, Noah; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.

She was the beloved wife of Mike, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family and countless cherished memories.

Debbie was a devoted mother to 7 children: Mitchell (Tara), Angel (Michael), Jennifer, Candice (Tony), Whitney, Kennedy and Levi; sister to Susan and Chris; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were her greatest pride and joy.

She found her happiest moments with her family by the water, fishing rod in hand. Whether casting a line or simply enjoying the peace of nature, those moments brought her true happiness.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM.

In her honor, her family invites you to remember her whenever you’re near the water, feeling the calm she loved the most. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
