

Dorothy G. Strange, of the Tellico Village community, passed away on November 23, 2025. She was 90 years old. Dorothy was born in the Lascassas community, in Rutherford County, Tennessee on July 13, 1935.
Dorothy graduated David Lipscomb High School in Nashville and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with the Bachelor of Science.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kennedy and Willene Green of Nashville, as well as four sisters: Sue Smith, Barbara Butler, Pamela White, as well as an infant, Peggy. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Glen.
Dorothy taught school for two years and worked for the Tennessee Welfare Department for several years until retirement. She and her husband, Glen moved to the lake and Tellico Village community in 1992. This move resulted in growing flowers and herbs full time, of which she was very proud. They enjoyed traveling and visited many states in this country as well as many countries in Europe, Asia, and South America. Her health did not permit this to continue over the last few years.
She is survived and her life celebrated by her son, Glen Jr. (wife Jenny) of Nashville, TN; daughter, Allison Keefer (husband David) of Roswell GA; grandson, Mitchell Strange (wife Meridith) of Nashville; granddaughters, Jacqueline Orrell (sons, William and Mark) of Daphne, AL, Kelley Shelton (husband, Hudson and son, Donoghue) of Nashville, and Katelyn Evans (husband, Clinton) of Fort Lauderdale FL.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 at 1pm at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
