

Fowler, Eleanor Louise Gossett, age 91, passed away on January 30, 2012. She was born on December 3, 1920, the youngest of four children of the late Erastus Gossett and Ova Kinnamon Gossett. Eleanor was a lifelong active member of Graystone Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder and Deacon and, through the years, served on numerous committees. After graduation from Knoxville High School in 1938, she worked for 43 years in the billing department of ALCOA. Eleanor was a member of the First Families of Tennessee, the MIMIR Study Group, and was awarded many ribbons for her crafts and needlework at local and regional fairs. Considerable time was also spent spoiling her niece and nephews, Anne Armstrong, Edwin Goddard, Jack Gossett, and Bill Gossett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Marlin Fowler, and siblings, Elizabeth Gossett, John Gossett, and Marjorie Goddard. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, and will then proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for a graveside service at 11:30 AM, Rev.
