Elizabeth “Carolyn” Galyon, age 88, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation. Carolyn was a member of Trinity Chapel and retired from the Alumni Office at the University of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. C. Galyon, and her mother, Della Mae “Mimi” Harp. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Elaine King and husband, Alger; son, Donald “Donnie” Eugene Galyon and wife, Susan; and son Anthony Christen “Chris” Galyon as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Heather Goins, Mother’s caregiver and beloved adopted grandchild, for her unconditional love. We have no idea what we would have done without you.
