Elizabeth "Betty" Miles, age 95, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at Parkwest Hospital. She was born in Endicott, NY and lived in Knoxville since 1976. She was a wife, mother, and devoted grandmother. Betty was also a homemaker, accomplished artist, and a member of West Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Stanley Champion; and her second husband, Ferdinand Miles. She is survived by her daughter, Bonita "Bonnie" Lax, of Knoxville; her son, Gordon Champion, of California; and her 5 grandchildren: Kathy Whaley, Teresa Cox, Paul Champion, Christine Champion, and Glen Lax. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27,2017, from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., in the chapel of Berry Highland Memorial, with a memorial service to follow at 12:30 p.m.
