Elmer Ray Jenkins

Elmer Ray Jenkins, born July 4, 1939, age 84 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2024. A 1957 graduate of South High School, Mr. Jenkins served in the United States Army and was retired from Knox County Schools Maintenance Department. For 58 years, he was a Scottish Rite Mason of Beaver Ridge Lodge No. 366 and was a member of Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Dianne (Woodward) Jenkins; son, Bob Jenkins; grandson, Andy Jenkins; parents, Hugh and Margaret Jenkins, and brothers, H.B. Jenkins and Joe Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins is survived by his son, Richard R. Jenkins (Jessica), Powell, TN; grandsons, Alex Jenkins, Knoxville, TN, and Derrick Jenkins (Whitney), Hendersonville, NC; granddaughters, Tiffany Martin (Ken), Knoxville TN, and Victoria Jenkins, Southaven, MS; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Riley, Benjamin, Charlotte, Jaynie, Brody, Avery, Caden, Landon, and Andie, and special friends, Bill Hurst, Henry Lenoir, and Dode Gordon.

A visitation for Mr. Jenkins will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5-7pm at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at the Mausoleum inside Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church or Beaver Ridge Masonic Lodge No. 366.
