I am writing to send my sympathies to all of you.  I worked with Erik for many years when I was at Kronos.  He was an outstanding guy and a true friend.  We spent many times working together and laughing together.  I remember many a night he and I would do our nightly walk outside of our hotel when we worked on a project in St. Louis together.  

He was so proud of his family and his faith.  We spoke about all of you in depth.  I will miss him greatly.  I will extend many prayers for you all to get through this most difficult time.  He is in God's care now and he will be watching over all of you.  

Again my deepest sympathies to you as you go through this time of loss.

I have difficulty adequately capturing Erik with just a few sentences.  We met 11 years ago after he had just started at Kronos and traveled to Kansas City. He was careful to watch and learn but offered his ideas and thoughts over dinner. He was very eager to make a difference! Over the years, I witnessed on many occasions how his southern drawl would lure people in and how his clever anecdotes would be the tipping point to completely win them over.  Some people would underestimate him, but his ability to really listen and to tell a compelling story on how he ran into the same issue with his previous role made people take notice. I will miss his kindness and generosity. For one particular project, he always offered to work late in the night with me or on weekends just because he didn’t want me to go it alone. During those marathon work sessions he spoke frequently of his family.  It was clear to me that he loved you all tremendously.  He was a colleague, a friend, but most of all a really great guy.  


I was profoundly saddened when I learned about Erik's death.   Erik brought kindness and light to anyone lucky enough to have crossed his path.  He will be missed by so many of us in his work-family who thought of him not just as a co-worker but as a friend.

It's been wonderful to see the "family album" of Erik pictures, thank you for sharing them. 

My thoughts are with all of you, his wife, children, family and friends, on what is sure to be a difficult and emotional day. 

 


So Sorry to hear the news about Erik.  I've been working with him on a project for the past few months.  Genuine great guy.  Our prayers are with you.  

I had the honor and privilege to know Erik and work with him at UT sporting events. Erik had such a vibrant spirit and always had a smile on his face. He was the type of guy to ask for so little but in turn gave so much. Always willing to help no matter the situation. He was definitely an exceptional guy. Future football seasons and Lady Vol basketball seasons won’t be the same without him. He will truly be missed. 

Also, my sincerest condolences to the family. May God comfort you all and give you strength to endure this time of bereavement. 

I am so sorry for your loss.  Erik was a force of love and laughter and has left us way too soon.  I worked with Erik for a few years and he always made me smile.  Please know that he leaves so many wonderful memories behind for all of us at UKG.  Praying for all of you.

I was going to be working with Erik on a new project at UKG.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Almost a year ago I experienced the same heartbreak as my husband passed away unexpectedly.  I look back thinking I was stronger than I thought I was, but each day is a challenge.  Let people help you with anything and everything right now and then ask them for help when they stop offering.  Have a friend you can call at any time and talk about Erik, your memories of what you used to do together, or vent about all the paperwork, or even to just cry.

Erik’s kindness and the light he radiated will never be forgotten.  He is an example of goodness to all.  Wishing you all peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I was lucky to meet Erik very soon after he started working at Kronos/UKG. Like many of his colleagues I considered him much more than a co-worker- he was a friend. Beyond the confines of work, we had many good laughs and swapped a lot of stories. We discussed family, sports (mostly SEC football), music,  the great outdoors, and life in general. I am genuinely going to miss his presence in my life but I know I will think about him often... especially when I see the Vols on TV.  I hope his loved ones (of which he spoke about often) can find comfort at this difficult time in the outpouring of love and appreciation from the many people that he touched throughout his life. 

Erik was a great guy. I am fortunate to have known him and he will be missed. 

I had the privilege and honor to work with Erik at UKG for many years.  He was a person of special gifts and skills, and his ability to manage clients and complex situations made him unique and matchless at UKG.  His ability to disarm and work with clients in difficult circumstances made him invaluable to his UKG partners.  I am heartbroken at this news and know that the hole that is created here at UKG as big as it is, is diminutive as compared to the hole that has been created in his family, friends and community.  My deepest condolences to Erik's family and friends.

To Erik's family, I wish I could hug all of you. He was such a proud dad and a genuine person- funny, kind, and hard-working.  My most recent in-person memory of Erik was our last team meeting in Denver- he heard I was nervous about going in elevators, and he offered to use his firefighter training to teach me how to escape.  But, we never got a chance.  There is never enough time- but in this case, that is especially true.  My thoughts are with all of you. Erik will never be forgotten.

My brother from another mother and best friend. I was truly blessed to share many great memories with Erik. Although we planned to do so much more. Erik smile and his positive outlook on life will be greatly missed.. Erik was the “most solid” and well rounded person I ever met in my life.  Erik was to good to be true. I knew he  was an angel sent from God. I would always talk to my wife about how amazing of friend he was to me.  If you knew Erik, I guarantee that he had a positive impact on your life. 
We all feel that we have endless time on this earth. But the truth of the matter our time is limited. Erik would want everyone to learn from his passing. I challenge everyone to step  out your comfort zone and try something new. This was the last conversation I had with my buddy.  We love you!!! Remember God don’t make mistakes.. Prayers for his family. Y’all know I’m a phone call away..

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Erik as a customer of UKG.  He was very knowledgeable, had a calm and patient demeanor, and was a joy to work with.  There was always a moment to "digress" while working on things which was one of the great parts of working with him.  My sincere condolences goes out to Erik's family and friends. The project we completed was large and very stressful, but Erik's ever-present calm and cheer was a much needed calm in the storm.   Erik's patience and willingness to teach was  a rare gift. I had the pleasure of working closely with Erik on numerous accounts at UKG. Erik was one of the first people I connect with to explore solutions to problems. On many occurrences we ended up talking about college football instead of the issue. My heart skipped a beat when I received the news. My UKG family is my extended family, he will be missed but never forgotten.

Erik was an awesome person to work with! He was great with our customers, and AMAZING helping us all internally. My favorite memories are that EVERY time we talked, it was about more than work!!! I'm so very glad I had the luck to meet and work with you.

Eric will be truly missed!! He was my son’s first basketball coach!! Always smiling and was so great with all the kids. May he rest in paradise.

I had the pleasure of working with Erik and was honored to consider him a friend.  We would often reach out to one another for help on projects and such but the conversation never started with work… we talked about our gardens and he’d ask me what fun cocktail I had planned for “quit in’ time on Friday”.  

A little spark of happy flickered out for me when I heard Erik was gone… I just sat and thought for a long time.  And then I went out to the garden… and pulled some weeds and checked on the seedlings and noticed that the wildflower patch was starting to bloom.  I told Erik all about it.  I will miss him terribly. But I will always think of him and smile as I play out in the dirt and mix drinks on Fridays… 

I was shocked to see this. I knew Eric as a Monitor tech and enjoyed working with him at St. Mary's. I am so sorry for your loss. Eric was a great guy.
