Eugene Arthur Lewis

LEWIS, EUGENE A. - age 86 of Powell passed away peacefully, January 15, 2012 at his home with his wife by his side. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend to all. He was a member of Faith Promise Church and was retired from X-10 with Martin Marietta. Eugene was a WWII Navy Veteran and served in the Pacific. Preceded in death by Father and Mother, John and Flora Lewis, Brothers; Roy and Olan Lewis. Survived by his wife, Rose Mary Lewis, son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sheila Lewis of Memphis, brother; Bob Lewis of Vacaville, California, sister-in-law; Wilma Leach of Lake City, nieces; Jaime Reed of Knoxville, Carla Jeffers of Jacksboro, Lori Lewis of Santa Barbara, CA., Kimberly Peglow of Silverdale, WA., Kelly Avery of Fairfield, CA., Julie Gordon of Napa, CA., nephews; Tim Leach of Lake City, Mike Lewis of Santa Cruz, CA., Michael Lewis of Olathe, KS. A Memorial Service will be held at Faith Promise Church (Pellissippi Campus) on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation in Eugene Lewis name be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
