Evelyn "Dumpie" Piatt Coomer

Evelyn "Dumpie" Piatt Coomer peacefully passed away at home on November 28, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was a graduate of South High Rocket's Class of 1963, Knoxville Business College, and University of North Texas. She sang with Heart of the Valley Chorus, and she was a member of the knoxville area dulcimer club.

Dumpie was greeted at the gates of Eternity by her parents, Robert and Helen Piatt, and nephew Clint Piatt.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, John Coomer; sons, John (Robin) Conner, Michael Conner; brother, Pete (Judy) Piatt; nephew, Steve (Michelle) Piatt, and numerous close friends.

Family and friends will honor the legacy of Dumpie on December 3, 2024 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. Family and friends will gather for a committal service at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 1:00pm, Rev.
