

Johnson, Fay Evelyn Rule age 96, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Fay was a 1941 graduate of Young High School and was a very active member of Stock Creek Baptist Church where she served in numerous ministries. She retired from the University of Tennessee Hospital where she served in medical records and with the UT Heart Surgeons. Preceded in death by husband of 74 years, C.J. Johnson, Jr., parents, William Joshua Rule and Annie Mae Gibson Rule; 3 sisters and 1 brother; granddaughter, Amie Johnson. Fay is survived by daughters, Janice Snowden and husband, Lynn; Kay Adams and husband, Wayne; sons, Alan Johnson; and Duane Johnson and wife Melody; grandchildren, Stacy (Bob) Schmidt, Gina (Jim) Owen, Susan (Steve) Stout, Teresa (Mitchell) Pierce, Todd (Kristi) Adams, Jennifer (Robert) Hawkins, Julie (Tyler) Peterson, Rachel (Troy) Wilson, Nathan Johnson, Danielle Watson and Matt Watson; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Stock Creek Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm, Rev. Chris Cupp officiating. Interment to follow at Stock Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
