

Frances Lovenia Braden Waddell of Knoxville, TN entered Heaven's gates in the arms of Jesus and reunited with her family who was waiting for a grand reunion. Frances, born in 1925 was the oldest of 15 children born to Samuel and Mattie Braden. Ten of those children lived into adulthood. She went to work at the age of 14 at an upholstery shop near her home, moved into an apartment at 16 and started working at a department store on Gay Street. She married Clyde (Breezy) Waddell and had one son, Frankie. She made her living for years as an "Avon Lady", servicing the entire downtown business district and department stores as well as the Norwood Area and bowling alleys. She was very business oriented and ahead of her time. She owned and managed several commercial properties locally, overseeing the properties into her 90's. Frances was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of meeting her.
Preceded in death by: Mother and Dad, Mattie Bell and Sam Braden; Husband, Clyde (Breezy) Waddell; Son, Frankie Waddell; Sisters: Geneva Johnson, Mozella (Bitty) Wallace, and Janie Ealy; Brothers, Frank Braden, Lindsey Braden, Ernest Braden, Fred Braden and Don Braden.
Survived by Brother, Clyde Braden; Brother-in-law, Jack Ealy; Sister-in-law, Mildred Braden; Special Nieces, Tina McGinnis and Carol Smith, along with many other very loved Nieces and Nephews.
A visitation for Frances will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Berry Highland West, with a funeral service will follow at 7:00pm. The graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11:00am, Pallbearers: Chris Ealy, Frank Bough, Jordyn Bough, and Seth Bough.
