Freda A. Wise

Freda A. Wise, age 72 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born and raised in Knoxville, and graduated from Karns High School. Freda retired as an Oncology RN at Parkwest Hospital. She was a loving mother, wife, and a friend to anyone who knew her.

Preceded in death by parents, Rena and Fredrick Helgerson and brother Arthur Alan Dotson.

Freda is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael Wise; sons, Freddie Johnson (Diane), Jack Johnson (Kathleen), Jeremy Wise (Jennifer); grandchildren, Jackie, Taj, Zoe, Hannah, Monica, and Jaden; sister-in-law, Margaret (Wise) Wright, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, October 29, 2021 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 PM Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 3:00 PM graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital, in care of Kerbela Shriners, 315 Mimosa Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920.
