George William Beacham

George William Beacham, age 89, was peacefully welcomed into his Heavenly home on May 24, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on August 12, 1935, George lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and love. A proud 32nd Degree Freemason and retired heavy equipment operator, he spent his days working hard, helping others, and cherishing time with his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clint Beacham, mother, Laura Scroggs, and brothers, Bill and Jerry Beacham. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, integrity, and compassion.

George is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Beacham, and his beloved son, Bill (Anita) Bright. He was a proud grandfather to Dakota Montgomery and Madison Gray, and great-grandfather to Finley, Nora, and Eleanor. He is also survived by his brother, John Thomas (Ann) Beacham, his daughters Kay Underwood, Sandi Thoreson, and Kathy Martin, along with many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

George will be remembered for his steady hands, strong spirit, and unwavering commitment to his family. His life was a true testament to hard work, loyalty, and love.

Family and friends will gather to honor the life and legacy of George at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Friday, May 30,2025 with a receiving of friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00PM. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00AM for a committal service.
