Hollifield, Gerlene (Jean) age 82, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023. She was born April 24, 1941 in Claiborne County, TN to Paul and Nell Hopson. She married her sweetheart, Clayton Eugene (Gene) Hollifield, on May 24, 1957. Gene and Jean were married for 34 years and had two wonderful sons, Edward (Eddie) Eugene and Jeffrey (Jeff) Clayton. She was preceded in death by both Gene and Eddie.
Jean leaves behind her beloved family, son Jeff (Robin) Hollifield; grandchildren: Brandon Hollifield, Jennifer (Cory) Killion, Clay Hollifield and Emma Hollifield; great grandchildren Cooper and Walker. Siblings; Glenda Loy and Bill Hopson; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and close friends will meet at Whispering Waters in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery for a private service. Rev. Wayne Loy will officiate.
