Rev. Glenn Randall Suffridge Sr.

Suffridge, Rev. Glenn R., Sr., went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 20, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He was member of Green Acres Baptist Church, and former pastor of: Bethany Baptist Church, Ailordale Baptist Church, Green Acres Baptist Church, and Northside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: parents Samuel Henry and Mamie (Edith) Sulfridge; sisters Alice Lusby, Lenoir Russell, and Ella Woods; and brother Dennis Eugene Sulfridge. Survivors include: wife of 56 years Martha Rhea; sons and daughters-in-law: Randall and Karen Suffridge, Steve Suffridge; daughter and son-in-law Mary and Danny Norton; grandchildren: Justin (Jessica), Brent (Kristen), Brittany (Michael), Kaitlin, Whitney, Jessica, Samantha, and Danny Jr.; great-grandchildren Brayden and Kinsley; sister Lois Harmon; sister-in-law Bobbie Sulfridge; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Nathan McCroskey, Carrie Bridges, and Luke Maples. Special thanks to Aunt Barbara Hooks, Dr. Crawley, Dr. Susan Huntsinger, and UT Hospice for your loving care for Glenn during his illness. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 21st from 5-8pm at Green Acres Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 8:00pm with Reverends: Jerry Oliver, Buster Gibson, and Justin Summers officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30am on Wednesday at Lett Cemetery in Maynardville, TN for the interment service at 11:00am. Serving as pallbearers will be: Wesley Suffridge, Lynn Sexton, Bruce Williams, Justin Stafford, Brent Hansard, Darryl Haynes, Charles Harmon, and Randall Suffridge.
