

Cora Ruth Ingram Carmichael, age 98, of Sevierville, TN passed away peacefully seventy days short of her 99th birthday. Ruth’s life journey began in Dandridge, TN where she was born on April 24, 1924 to Creed and Katie Ingram. She grew up with three brothers and later married Howard Rimmer and had three sons. Later in life she moved to Knoxville and married her late husband Jack Lee Carmichael and had two more children. She was employed at the University of Tennessee Hess Hall and was a member of Island Home Assembly of God. Her final move was to Sevierville, TN in 1977 where she was employed at Electrovoice and TVA until retirement and attended Sevierville Christian Center. After retirement she enjoyed working in her flowers, listening to Christian music and feeding stray cats.
She loved her God, church, family and friends. Ruth touched the lives of all who met her.
Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years Jack Lee Carmichael; children SGT George W Rimmer USMC, CPL William Bill Rimmer USMC, and Steve Ingram; grandson Billy Ingram; parents Creed and Katie Ingram; three brothers Burnette Ingram USA-Korea, W.C. Ingram and Johnny Ingram; grandparents Mollie and Grandpa Genes, and Cordie Patterson; step daughter Arlene Carmichael Parker .
She leaves behind those that are blessed to share her wonderful life stories are her children Lisa C. DeLozier husband Mike DeLozier and Gary Hackworth wife Sherry; grandchildren Kris Bradley who helped take care of his grandparents many years, Shannon Bradley, Tiffany Easterday, Bobby Rimmer, Angie Collins, Jason Rimmer, Dedria Rimmer, Warren Rimmer, Angelia Thorton, Michael Ingram, Michael Tindell, Kelly Carter; great grandchildren Kayla Bradley, Dylan Bradley, Corey Rimmer, Katie Rimmer, Kelsey Collins, Emersyn Easterday, Jameson Easterday, Stephen Ingram, Olivia Lovell, Carter Lovell, Alex Rimmer, Brendon Rimmer, Gabriel Rimmer, Greg Crisp, Aleshia Crisp, Arron Crisp, Matthew Tindell, Jeremy Tindell, Olivia Carter, Ava Carter, Ashlyn Tindell; Thirteen great great grandchildren; and several family members. She always said the six Carmichael sisters were her sister’s from another mother and loved them dearly.
