Helen S. Owens, 89, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 12, 2018 surrounded by her family. Helen was an avid stock car race fan and loved cooking for her family which she loved with all her heart. She was preceded in death by parents, Lewis and Kate Stinnett; husband, of 49 years, Tom Owens and several brothers and sisters. Survived by daughter, Kathy James (Craig Stewart); son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Debbie Owens; 2 grandchildren, Jessica James (Josh Hawkins) and Steve Owens Jr.; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Owens and several nieces and nephews. The family wants to give a special thanks to Ruby and Jesse from Covenant Hospice for the loving care. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy.
