Horace L. Barnes, Jr. (Hoss) graduated from this life to Heaven on July 15, 2025 at 8:24 am. He was born on July 27, 1959 and was 65 years old (He would have been 66 years old in 12 days). He was saved by Jesus Christ and drew great comfort in reading his Bible while he was still able. He loved God, his family, fishing, reading westerns, crime, and mystery books, playing poker, shooting pool, buying scratch-off lottery tickets, and eating good food. He always had a supply of KitKats, Fastbreaks, and Tootsie Rolls on hand and would never pass up a good meal. He was a carpenter while he was able to work. He had stopped drinking many years ago and had finally given up cigarette smoking at the end of last year.
Hoss (Jr) was preceded in death by his beloved wife Yvonne Barnes; his parents Horace L. Sr. and Helen Barnes; his brothers William (Eddie) and James (Jimmy) Barnes; his beloved nephew Robbie Barnes; his grandparents JC and Cumie Barnes and Clifford and Hazel White; his aunts and uncles, JC, Frances, George, Barbara, Duarte (Billy), Margaret, and Jerry Barnes, Wayne and Pete White, and Inez Dyer; his mother-in-law Wanda Cummings; his cousins Mike Vest, David, Bobby, and Charity White, and Sheila Dennis; and his wonder dogs Keiko and Rosie.
