Howard Arthur Rogers Jr.

Howard “Art” Rogers, age 77, of Knoxville and originally of Colchester, Connecticut, passed away on July 23, 2017. He loved to travel and see new places. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Griselda Sandoval; children, Dawn Strong, Penny Welsh, Victoria Merseraeu, Tammy Moyes, and Christopher Rogers; many grandchildren; brother, Clifford Rogers; cherished friends, Alberto Servin, Luz Covarrubias, Lucero Servin Rose, Kenneth Smith, Jorge Balderas, Susana Salazar, and Elia Chavez; and many extended family members in Mexico. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Home Healthcare in Knoxville, the Advanced Heart Failure Team from Vanderbilt, and the staff of Lonsdale Elementary School for all the love and support. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00pm on Saturday, July, 29, 2017 at Berry Funeral Home (3704 Chapman Hwy., Knoxville, TN 37920), with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6:00pm.
