

Mrs. Wagner was born February 14, 1920, to the late William E. and Amy Claira Cooper Moore, and was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B. A. in Education. She had moved to Gainesville in 1962 from Knoxville, with her husband, the late John Alexander Wagner. She worked for many years for the State of Florida Department of Health & Rehabilitative Services, until her retirement. Mrs. Wagner was a very active member and Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church, of Gainesville.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Elizabeth (Kevin) Roebuck; two grandchildren, Michael L. (Brittney) Curley and John L. Roebuck, all of Gainesville; a sister-in-law, Frances Moore, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 11:00 A. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville, with Dr. Harold Henderson, officiating. Interment will be held in Millers Lutheran Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee on Thursday February 23rd at 2pm. Family and friends will meet at McCarty-Evergreen funeral home at 1pm prior to the interment.
