I worked with Jerry at the Civic Coliseum and then would see her and Gene eating out in South Knoxville.  I will always remember her sweet smile and interest in the other person.  Gene and Pam and the rest of the family my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jerry was always kind to me when I became a member in 94 . I know she is with our heavenly father . I pray for Gene , Pam and Rick and all other family .  Precious in the sight of the Lord , is the death of his saints . Jerry is home and dancing in heaven.  

Aunt Jerry was a kind, precious  lady. I will  miss her very much.


We are so sorry hear about Jerry’s passing. Her faith is now sight! What a blessing to know she is in the arms of the Lord. She was such a lovely lady and was always encouraging to Tom during his time as Facilities Director at Sevier Heights. We are praying for the family during this time that they will feel the peace of God now and in the coming days.

I will always remember Jerry taking charge of the Living Christmas Tree choir clothing,  etc. You would think she never tired. Always ready to help.  She sat in front of me for years in choir and always had a smile and sweet words. She went to a Doctor I worked with for years and we would talk about her visits to him.  She loved him as he helped her so much! Jerry,  you are with your Savior and I can see you smiling and helping in any way you can.  I love you sweet lady and you will be missed.  

Jerry, my best friend, Im so happy you are well and happy now. I know you were greeted at heavens gate by family and friends, and you have joined Phil Chaney choir and hugged Bob and all your family.  Most of all I know that Jesus welcomed you with open arms. I will treasure our memories of Sevier Heights Bible School, teaching 2nd grade Sunday School, Myrtle Beach, K and W Cafeteria, secrets, Weight Watchers, the list goes on and on. Save me a place in your mansion. Ill see you at the house. 

Gene and family, my love and prayers are with you all during this difficult time of earthly loss yet rejoicing time for Jerry. She is smiling and laughing and telling stories as she is singing in Heaven’s choir. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I’m so happy we had such great times in the choir together. 

I am so sorry for the family on your loss of Jerry but know she is rejoicing to be in Heaven with Jesus!! My Mother, Dot Sherrod, was very good friends with Jerry  and  Gene and enjoyed working with Jerry at Sevier Heights teaching children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. They enjoyed many good times together.  Me, Mother, my Dad Bill, as well as the rest of my family thought so much of Jerry. I will be praying for the family🙏❤

So sad to hear of Jerri's passing, but happy for her, to be with our Lord! I love Jerri.  I first met her our senior year at South High and we became best friends.  A sweeter lady you will never find.

Saddened for us, but rejoicing that Jerry has met Jesus face to face!  Her sweet smile and welcoming presence has meant  so much to me from the day I met her. She always made me feel welcomed at church and often stopped to speak to me and Nate anywhere else I saw her about town. What a godly lady whom all of us already miss! 

Dear sweet Jerry. I have so many happy memories with her from childhood til now. She was a dear friend to my parents and they took many beach trips together. She always had a positive outlook and great advice. I will miss her very much. 

Oh, I was so sorry to hear of this.  Jerry used to deliver the mail to our home when I was growing up.  One day when I was out in the yard playing, she stopped and asked me if my name was “Cindy Ogle”? When I told her yes, she said I have a young niece with red hair like you named “Cindy Ogle”.  It was so incredible because we did meet later on and discovered we are 5th cousins with the same age and middle initial.   I always loved talking to our mail lady, Jerry after she told me that🥰

Jerry and I used the same hair dresser.   We loved to see each other’s hair when done.   She was ALWAYS  such a joy to me.   I have missed and will continue to miss her.   Jerry, you are whole again.   Enjoy my friend.
