Jack Eugene Drinnen

Jack Eugene Drinnen, age 83, of Strawberry Plains, went to his eternal rest Saturday, January 14, 2017. He was a member of Strawberry Plains United Methodist Church. Jack was an outstanding citizen of the community and played an active role in many of the community programs. Preceded in death by parents, William H. Drinnen and Irene Stiles Drinnen; brother, Haskell Drinnen; brother, Eulis Drinnen; sister, Margaret Kelly; brother, Kenneth Drinnen. Survivors include wife of 60 years, Carolyn Drinnen; son, Steve and wife, Lorrie Drinnen; daughter, Jayme and fiancée Fred Troutt; grandson, Austin Drinnen; granddaughter, Alesha Drinnen; brother, Roy and wife Hazel Drinnen; brother, Bill and wife Marilyn Drinnen; sister, Shirley Turner; several nieces and nephews; a very special cousin, Ruby Drinnen; and a granddog, Hobbes. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 4:00 -7:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm at Strawberry Plains United Methodist Church, 3173 West Old Andrew Johnson Highway, Rev. Doug Jennings officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 am at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 and proceed to Paw Paw Hollow Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service.
