"Jack" Silas E. Harrison

He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas (Sr.) and Minnie Harrison; his sister, Brenda Harrison; and his favorite cousin, Al (Sonny) Gibson, all of Knoxville.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Donna E. Harrison; his daughter, Dena Wright of Knoxville; his sons, Jackie Harrison of Columbia, KY, and Shayne Harrison of Knoxville; as well as his beloved dog and faithful companion, Toby. He had six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A 1959 graduate of Bearden High School, Jack attended Tennessee Wesleyan University. He followed in his father’s footsteps, crafting beautiful cabinets for countless families in the area. His hobbies included beekeeping, completing his New York Times crossword puzzles (in ink), and rooting on the cowboys while watching his favorite Westerns on TV.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 6, at 12:00 p.m. at Berry Highland West, located at 9913 Sherrill Blvd. in Knoxville. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Young-Williams Animal Center.
