Jack H Henson

Jack H. Henson, age 86, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018. He was a member of Linden Avenue Baptist Church. He was retired from Kern's Bakery with over 40 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Annie Henson; brothers Ernest Paul Henson, Jr.; William Glen Henson; Donald Henson; and James Lee Henson; sisters Eliza Ann Burnes and Virginia McWherter. Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty Henson; daughters, Gail Jones; Vickie Elliott and husband Jerry; Debbie Dixon and husband Wendell; Judy Cochran and husband John; Dottie Taylor; Lena Cupp; sons; Michael Ogle and wife Judy; Jerry Ogle and wife Becky; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother Ronald Henson and wife Joyce; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Family will receive friends Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, Rev. David Hurst and Rev. Terry Parton officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa Monday, June 18, 2018 at 12:00 Noon for the interment.
