Hembree, James Oscar - age 93, of South Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at his residence. He was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City. He served in the US Army from November 1941 until the end of WWII and fought in the battle of Anzio. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Irick Hembree; his parents Perry Walter Hembree, Sr. and Effie Wright Hembree; his brothers, William Chandler Hembree and Perry Walter Hembree, Jr.; and his sister, Margaret Lee Hembree. He is survived by his nephews, Bill Hembree, Dr. Douglas K. Hembree, and Steve Hembree; his niece, Mary Jane Harned; and his great nephews and nieces, Dean Douglas Harned, Elizabeth Marie Lynch, and Eric Hembree and Cynthia Rolen, Will Williams, Sarah Hembree, Meredith Hendrickson and Erica Hembree.
