JAMES E. PIPPIN, SR. age 78 of Powell, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home. He was retired from the U.S. Army having served in Korea and Vietnam. Preceded in death by his parents, Judge and Chettie Pippin. Survived by sons, James Jr. and Jeff Pippin; granddaughter, Devin Pippin; brother, Carl (Martha) Pippin; sisters, Jetta Russell, Jessie (Wayne) Keller and Linda (Randy) Kidd; sister-in-law, Iva Pippin; several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Weaver’s Chapel at 6 pm Tuesday, May 14th with the Rev. Judge Pippin officiating.
