James Bruce Setzer Sr.

James B. Setzer, Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 86, on March 12, 2017, at his home in Knoxville, TN. He was a devout Baptist, an avid woodworker, farmer, and outdoorsman, who enjoyed inventing tools and gadgets, enriching the lives around him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Cora Lewis; his wife, Lucy Setzer; his sisters, Dollie, Grace, and Julia; and his daughter, Barbara "Brenda" Humphreys. He is survived by his sister, Della Kelly of Illinois; brother, Billy Setzer of South Carolina; his sons, Richard Setzer (Debbie) of Decatur, TN and James B. Setzer, Jr (Robin) of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Ed "Bee Man" Close, and his wife Phyllis, for all of the love and friendship over the years. The family will receive friends at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5pm - 7pm, with the funeral service to follow. Graveside service will be held at Berry Highland Memorial Park, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, at 9:00am on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
