

Preceded in death by son, Jordan Stuart Touton; parents R.L. and Willie Jean Touton; sisters, Joyce Blakely, Janie Kennedy, Jenny Lou Ford, Doris Green, and Donna Taylor, and brothers, Stanley and Sidney Touton. Survived by daughter, Laura Touton; sisters, Judy Van Dyke and Debbie (Melvin) Coley; brothers, Steve Touton, Sam (Elaine) Touton, and Scott (Cathy) Touton. Many special nieces and nephews.
Stuart entered the Navy on active duty in August of 1974. In his service, he was stationed on the USS Valdez in Charleston, SC. He performed general shipboard firefighting in San Francisco, CA in 1975, and damage control/shipboard firefighting in Charleston, SC in 1976. He was transferred to the Naval Reserve in July of 1978. At the time of retirement, he was a truck driver with 20+ years of driving.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, with Yahtzee being a favorite pastime. Stuart also enjoyed watching Westerns and reading Louis L’Amour books. The family would like to thank Jeff Whaley for the wonderful friendship he gave to Stuart.
Stuart's family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932, with his funeral service immediately following at 7:00pm. Stuart will be laid to rest with full military honors at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10:00am.
