Jeanette Louise Gervin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanette Louise Gervin on December 23, 2024, at the age of 84. Jeanette was born on April 22, 1940, in Knoxville, TN, to Roy Sr. and Leona Mink.

Jeanette lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by the strong-knit family she created. She met the love of her life and husband Wilfred “Buddy” Gervin of 48 years and the rest was history. Jeanette was known for her strong will and unwavering determination, as well as her loving devotion to her family, faith, and community. Along with her husband, she was a devout Christian and a long-term member of Vestal United Methodist Church in Knoxville. With her husband, Jeanette raised two beautiful daughters: Vicki and Kelly. In her later years, Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially during the holidays. Her laugh was contagious as were her smiles. Jeanette's presence and wisdom will be greatly missed by us all.

Jeanette was met in heaven by her parents, Roy Sr., and Leona; Husband, Wilfred “Buddy” Jr.; mother-in-law, Hazel and father-in-law, Wilfred “Buddy” Sr. Her older brother, Roy Jr. “Buddy,” sister, Barbara “Sweetie,” younger brothers, Ronald and Jerry; daughter, Vicki and grandson Dylan.

She is survived by her daughter Kelly and son-in-law Andy Veals, grandchildren Ashley (Jason), Jesse, Cody, and Brooke, and great-grandchildren Aryanna, Lilly, Ryder, and Kassidy.

Family and friends will gather to honor the life and memory of Jeanette at Eastview Memorial Gardens, 1320 Andrew Johnson Highway, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871 on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00pm, with Rev. Dean Braden to officiate the service. Flowers are welcomed and appreciated to honor Jeanette.
