Jeannine Black

JEANNINE BLACK – age 81 of Powell, passed away January 12, 2017. She was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted her life to her family. Jeannine was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church and she enjoyed her Triple L meetings. She was a devoted member of the Powell Republican Club, and the Eastern Star. She worked for years at Rodger’s Cadillac. Preceded in death by her father, Lenroy “Lefty” Atkins; mother, Lillie Newman Black; husband, Kelly Black; and brother, Richard Atkins. Survived by her children, Lynette Brown (Steve), John Black (Cherie` Meece), Mitzi Black, Frank Paige (Elena), Debbie Tripp (Jim); granddaughter, Whitney Mae Brown; honorary grandson, Dustin Fisher (Christina); sisters, Toni Bryant, Rebecca Smith (David); brothers, Walter Black (Char), David Black (Judie) and Steven Atkins (Phyllis); special friend, Frances Jett and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Helping Hands Care Givers for their diligent care and love. Family will receive friends Sunday in Weaver’s West Chapel from 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm with service to follow at 4:00 pm. Family and friends will meet 12:00 pm Monday at Weaver Funeral Home to proceed to Lynch Bethel Cemetery for an 1:00 pm interment.
