Jerry Langheld, age 74, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 11, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He retired after 30 years of service with General Motors in Mason, Michigan and retired to Louisville, TN. Jerry was born May 9, 1944 in Minden, Louisiana to the late Dillard and Lola Langheld. He married Nancy Sherbrook on July 6, 1966. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and usher. He loved his service to the Lord and participated in Sevier Heights Baptist Church Disaster Relief, Meals on Wheels and Awanas. He was preceded in death by is brother, Billy Jack Langheld. Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy; daughters, Kimberly (Jeff) Rowe, Cinthia (Scott) Parkes and son Steven (Sandy) Langheld; grandchildren Steven Parkes, Melissa Rowe, Joshua Rowe, Jacob Rowe and Luke Langheld; sister, Lottie (James) Harty and brother Roy (Teri) Langheld. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Sevier Heights Baptist Church in care of Disaster Relief, 3232 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7 PM, Saturday, October 13, 2018.
