

Joan was a devoted member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Loudon, Tennessee, where her faith guided her throughout her life. She was immensely proud of earning her realtor’s license, showcasing her determination and love for new challenges.
An animal enthusiast at heart, Joan adored horses and took great joy in raising and breeding miniature horses. Her love for animals was matched only by her dedication to her family and career. Joan worked side by side with her husband, Lee Chaffin, to run their family business, Quality Rebuilders. After the business closed, she returned to her passion for caregiving, serving as a private duty nurse for many years and touching countless lives with her compassion and kindness.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Hazel Neal; her beloved husband of 23 years, Lee Chaffin; her son, Tyrone "Pat" Morgan; and her siblings, Rosie Harvey, Maryland Holder, Sylvia Osborne, Verna "Honey" Miller, James "Zeke" Neal, Wanda Hodges, Jesse Neal, and Sam Neal.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Morgan and Jennifer Morgan; step-daughters, Cheryl Chaffin Bukowski and Anita Chaffin Breinig; a special family friend, Debbie Dehler; her grandson, Derek Morgan; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM, officiated by Gary Whitworth.

Joan will be remembered for her unwavering love, her resilience, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.
