Joelynn Windebank

Joelynn was born November 18, 1944 in Luling, Texas and grew up in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Buckner Orphanage Home. She moved to Tennessee in 1987 and fell in love with the mountains and never left. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, and being in nature. She loved going on new adventures and having fun. She was an avid reader. She loved serving at her church and was involved in multiple ministries over the years. She cherished her family most of all. She will be greatly missed until we are all reunited in Heaven.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ina Lou Brown and Woodrow Wilson Jones, her sister Sally Tyler, and her brothers Don Jones and Gerald Jones.

She is survived by her sisters, Penny Mask and Kathy Loeffelholz; her daughter, Carla (Terry) Howell and her step-son Fletcher Windebank; her grandchildren Valerie Fautheree, Shelly (Mike) Carr, Ruth Howell, Seth Howell, Trevor Windebank, Spencer Windebank, Amanda Jordan, and Raleigh Windebank; her fourteen great-grandchildren, and her two great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of Joelynn’s life will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 with a receiving of friends to be held at 1pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm at Berry Highland West Funeral Home. Pastor Abigail Ramsey will be officiating the service. A graveside service will occur at 3pm.
