King, Jr., John L., age 88, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday May 17, 2012 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home. He was a member of Thorngrove Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by: wife Elizabeth Josephine King and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: Children Kenneth and wife Sandra King, Jerry and wife Tammy King, and daughter Connie and husband Tom Thomas; grandchildren: Lanette, Kenneth, II, Travis, Lynn, Tommy, Teresa, and Bobby; several great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy and Mary Ruth; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday May 19th from 5-7pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 with Rev. Johnny Beeler officiating. Family and friends will meet at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home at 1:15pm to go in procession to Eastview Memorial Gardens for the 2:00pm interment service.
