Juanita Marie Metz

Metz, Juanita Marie (88) of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord Sunday April 12, 2015. She was of the Methodist faith. As a young woman Juanita worked as a secretary for the FBI at the end of WWII and later as a secretary for the Weirton Steel Mill. Her favorite role was taking care of her family at home and she especially loved her little poodle, Honey. Juanita is preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Earl Lee Metz Sr.; brother, Elisha Crabtree; sister, Geraldine Lilly; brother, Tommy Crabtree; brother, Robert Crabtree; sister, Joyce Miller. She is survived by daughter, Debra (Max) Ogle; daughter, Elaine (John) Decker; son, Earl Lee Metz; son, David (Wendy) Metz; grandchildren, Stephen Ogle, Amanda (Ben) Nighswander, Gregory Decker, Joshua Metz, Garrett Metz; great grandchildren, Caydn Ogle-Lee, Lorelei Nighswander, Alexia Nighswander; sister, Judy (John) Handley; and many nieces & nephews. The family wants to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Gracie, Eleanor, Judy of Senior Home Assistance of TN as well as all the caregivers at Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center. Family will receive friends Tuesday April 14th from 5-7 pm at Berry Funeral Home located at 3704 Chapman Highway. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7pm with Dr. Alan Price officiating. Entombment will take place Wednesday April 15th at 10 am at Berry Highland South 9010 Simpson Road.
