Judith Kimberly Nicely, 62, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, surrounded by the comfort of her beloved home. She had been eagerly anticipating this moment, knowing that she would finally be reunited with her cherished husband, Johnny, who had passed away in 2021 and had been waiting for her with open arms.
Judith was a woman of determination and grace. She earned her business administration degree from Rice College in 1992, an achievement that filled her with pride. Her professional journey led her to the Family Medical Clinic on Western Ave., where she dedicated fifteen years of her life from 1995 until the clinic's closure in 2010. Through her work, she touched countless lives with her caring nature and professional expertise.
Those who knew Judith understood that her heart overflowed with love for the simple yet meaningful treasures of life. Above all else, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy and laughter to her days. She found comfort in her daily rituals, savoring her cigarettes, enjoying her morning cup of coffee, and maintaining her immaculate home. Judith took tremendous pride in keeping her house spotlessly clean, her attention to detail and love for creating a warm, welcoming environment was truly unmatched.
Judith has been joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Johnny Lynn Nicely; father, James T. Bledsoe; sister, Sue Lauderdale; her precious great-grandson, Oliver Harmon. While our hearts ache with the pain of separation, we find solace knowing that this beautiful reunion has brought them all together once more.
Judith leaves behind to cherish her memory, her devoted mother, Mary Bledsoe; her dedicated daughter, Donna (Charles III) Jones; sister, Charlene Roderick; brothers, Samuel and Tony Bledsoe; beloved grandchildren, Jasmine (Thomas IV) Harmon, Madaline "Hal" Hart, Katelynn Hart; great-grandchildren, Elanor Harmon and Thomas "Finley" Harmon V.
Family and friends will gather to honor the memory of Judith on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00pm at Pollard Cemetery in Kodak, TN. Online condolences and fond memories may be shared with the family at www.mccartyevergreen.com.
